Bromley is a leafy, suburban safe and family friendly area, and is made up some quiet residential roads, and has some delightful enclaves - such as the Palace Estate, with tree-lined roads such as Palace View & Murray Avenue , within walking distance of the Town Centre with it's plethora of bars, restaurants, and of course the Glades shopping mall. Bromley South train station is also within easy reach, with it's fast links into London Victoria and London Blackfriars. Bromley Old Town is the historic heart of Bromley, made up of Victorian cottages, villas and Townhouses, either Victorian or Edwardian , whilst to the east is Shortlands with train links into London and it's diverse range of property from apartments to substantial detached houses with generous garden's. To the South is Chatterton Village, the heart of the area is Chatterton Road a community hub with shops, services and pubs, the area is made up of mostly modest Victorian/Edwardian houses. Bromley is also served by stations at Sundridge Park & Bromley North with a link into Grove Park and onto London Terminals including London Bridge.
